How far in advance should I make an online booking?
To confirm the availability online bookings should be made 24 hours in advance of scheduled pickup time.

I can’t find my destination on your booking page.
Please choose the nearest location address. Then indicate your proper address in the additional information section in the booking form.

Can I make changes to my booking?
You can change your reservation free of charge online, by email or by phone. For last minute changes please contact us by phone.

If I have not received an email confirming my booking, is my reservation confirmed?
Please note that the confirmation process is not automatic and it may take up to 24 hours before you receive the confirmation.
Please contact us, if your pick-up is in the next 24 hours and you have not received your confirmation. Keep on  checking your junk/spam email folders, before contacting us.
You can changes free of charge your booking details, online, by email or by phone. For last minute changes please contact the Airports Direct contact number provided in your booking confirmation email.

Can I cancel my booking?
With no charge you can cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the pick-up. However, we guarantee a full refund if the transfer is cancelled due to Covid-19. In our terms and conditions you will find more related information.

My flight details have changed, do I have to inform Airports Direct?
Please report us of any changes to your flight schedule as soon as possible, and we will reschedule your booking. For changes within 48 hours before pick up, please call the Airports Direct contact number.

Is the price per person, or per vehicle?
We currently provide private and chauffeured transfers only. All quoted prices are per vehicle, not per person.

Where is the meeting point at the airport?
Your private driver or chauffeur will be waiting for you in the airport arrival hall holding your or on request company name sign.

What if my flight is delayed or cancelled?
We will monitor your flight, to make sure your private driver or chauffeur will be waiting for you at the proper time. If your flight is delayed, your pick up time will be automatically updated.

Luggage – F.A.Q Airports Direct

What is the size of a medium check-in and carry-on luggage?
The average dimension of Medium Luggage is approximately 76 cm / 30 inches (0.76 m) and Width of around 45 cm / 18 inches (ca. 46 cm). Carry on or cabin luggage has Height of approximately 48 cm / 19 inches (ca. 48 cm) and Width of approximately 32 cm / 13 inches (ca. 33 cm). If you have big or oversized luggage, please specify the dimensions in the extra instructions field of the booking form. Please note that it is your responsibility to select a car with the accurate luggage volume.

What if I bring more luggage than I mentioned ?
We allocate the vehicle according to your booking. If you reserved a saloon vehicle and you bring more luggage than you mentioned then we have to re-book alternative vehicle for your journey, and we will charge you extra according to your re-booked vehicle.

We don’t permit passengers place any luggage on their lap or seat because If you put an additional bag on seat and driver brakes there are risk that the bag could hit the driver or the passenger. That may cause serious problems to the driver and the passenger like a ar crash or breaking bones and the insurer will not cover the accident.

Do you provide child seats?
Child and baby seats are available on request. You can request child and infants seats in the Extras section of the reservation page.

Will I share the ride with other passengers?
Airports Direct provide only private transfers, the vehicle will be exclusively at your or your group’s disposal.

Do the Airports Direct airport transfer take us directly to our hotel?
The private transfer service takes you directly to your hotel.

Are there any extra charges?
Any additional information will be shown at the time of booking. The price on your booking confirmation is final.

Do I have to pay additional for via journeys?
Yes, you have to pay for any extra via journeys.

Do you provide taxi services?
No, Airports Direct does not any taxi jobs. We provide a bespoke pre-booked private car service (unmarked cars) with a minimum fee in place.

AIRPORT/ PORT TRANSFERS –  F.A.Q Airports Direct

Where will my chauffeur or private driver meet me at airports?

Your chauffeur or driver will be waiting for you in the arrival hall holding a sign with your name.

How long will my chauffeur or private driver wait for me?
At the airport your chauffeur and driver will wait 60 minutes free of charge after your flight landing. For pickups from home, hotel or other accommodation your private driver or chauffeur will wait 15 minutes for free. With your flight number your chauffeur and private driver will monitor your arrival time and where possible adjust your collecting time for any early arrivals and delays. Hereafter, every extra waiting time will be charged.

Why should I enter my flight details?
Your flight details allows us to track your flight and rearrange the pickup time for any delays or early arrivals (where possible), and to ensure that a private hire driver or chauffeur will wait at the right terminal.

What if my flight is delayed?
When booking, please provide flight number, and we will monitor your flight status and (when possible) arrange airport pickup time for any early arrivals or delay.

Who do I contact for the airport transfer pickup?
The chauffeur or private driver name and his mobile number are sent by email at least 24 hours prior to the day of service.

Do you do cruise ports transfers?
Yes, we do transfer to and from all major Ireland cruise ports. Including Dublin Port, Belfast Port and Cobh Port.
How much time should I allow if I am going to Dublin Airport from Galway?
We prefer clients to allow 120 – 150 minutes, ensuring a safe, comfortable airport transfer.

Do you do Airport Transfers from Dublin Airport to Doolin?
Yes Airports Direct can provide an Airport Transfer service to and from all major Ireland airports from the West of Ireland.

If we may need to stop during the journey for a comfort break, of is this possible?
Bottled, chilled water is always available in the vehicle for our guest. Of course if you do want to stop during your journey then our drivers or chauffeurs will be more than happy to take short break.

When will I receive confirmation of my chauffeur hire?
Booking confirmations are sent via email as quickly as possible after your booking is completed from your side.

What is the difference between driver and chauffeur?
A driver is simply anyone who drives a vehicle, while a chauffeur is a professional who is hired to drive only the best vehicles, luxurious, comfortable and elegant.

Is there a fee for meet-and-greet service?
As a first class chauffeur service provider, Airports Direct charges no additional fee for meet-and-greet service.

Can I hire a chauffeur driven vehicle per hour?
Yes, our chauffeur driven cars can be booked by the hour and the fee is determined by the size and model of the vehicle.

Are your chauffeur smartly dressed?
Airports Direct chauffeurs wear suits and a shirt and tie, after all you will never get a second chance of making first impression

What chauffeured vehicles do you offer?
All our chauffeured vehicles are highly specified and have luxurious interiors, air conditioning, privacy windows, ambient lighting, on-board WI-FI and free bottled water.

What kind of private car service vehicles do you offer?
Airports Direct have the appropriate vehicle for every need. Choose between comfort salons and vans, executive saloons and vans and premium saloons.

Are the vehicles licensed?
Yes, all our vehicles are fully licensed.

Are your vehicles insured?
Yes, all our vehicles are fully insured.

Do your executive vehicles have Wi-Fi?
Every of Airports Direct executive and premium chauffeur driven vehicles have on board Wi-Fi.

Do you provide child car seats?
Of course on request, we provide infant, child and booster car seats. Please request a child seat/booster in the “additional service information” field.

What vehicle do I choose?
Depending on the number of passengers and luggage, we recommend different size vehicles  which will best suit  your needs and don’t expose your comfort either. We have listed below types of vehicles and their capacity.

What luggage capacity does the Airports Direct fleet offer?
We have listed below types of vehicles and their capacity. VW Passat holds 2 check luggage and 2 hand luggage. VW Transporter holds 4 check luggage and 4 hand luggage. E-Class holds 2 Check In-luggage and 2 hand luggage. S-Class holds 2 check in-luggage and 2 hand luggage. V-Class holds 6 check-in luggage and 2 hand luggage.

Can you move a bike or golf clubs?
Airports Direct long wheel base minibuses have very spacious luggage area.

What age will my car be?
Airports Direct vehicles are less than 4 years old.

Do you provide bottled water in the vehicle?
Yes, complimentary bottled water is offered in our vehicles.

Can I  bring my own drinks and food into the hired vehicle?
Neatness in our vehicles is a key part of our service, so the eating on board during the ride is not permitted. Alcoholic drinks in the vehicle are only permitted to be consumed with prior chauffeur permission. If the vehicle becomes dirty and requires cleaning due to spilled drinks or food, there will be a 100 euro extra charge.

Is smoking allowed?
Any form of smoking, including electronic cigarettes are not allowed in our vehicles.

Are pets allowed in the vehicles?
Yes, guide dogs and small pets carried on the owner’s lap or contained in a carrier are allowed.

Do you provide mobile devices chargers?
Mobile device car-chargers for iPhones and other mobile phones are available during the journey for all executive and premium vehicles.

How many passengers can you carry?
Our saloon vans and executive vans are seven seaters.

POLICIES AND PROCED – F.A.Q Airports Direct

How many miles/kilometre are allowed in the hourly private hire service.
The hourly chauffeur and private driver car hire service includes 20 kilometres (ca. 12 miles) of distance for every booked hour. Exemplar, a three-hour service includes 60 kilometres (ca. 37 miles)

What is your cancellation policy?

There is no cancellation fee if the service is cancelled up to 24 hours before collection time.

In case if my chauffeur or driver arrives earlier than the pickup time, am I charged for additional waiting time?
No. Regardless of how early the chauffeur or private driver arrives, your complimentary waiting time starts at your scheduled pickup time.

Are gratuities included?

Tipping your driver is at your discretion. Suggested 15%

Shown prices are per vehicle or per person?

The shown prices are always per vehicle and include all taxes and fees

When are payments due for services?

Airports Direct private driver and chauffeur hire services must be paid in advance. The service is reserved at the moment the fee is made.

When will I receive my payment receipt?

After completing the payment process, Your payment receipt will be sent to you email box.
