We will be driving along the Wild Atlantic Way, which leads to the magnificent Cliffs of Moher. The Cliffs of Moher is one of Ireland’s most popular tourist attractions. This natural wonder is a must-visit for anyone visiting the country, as it has been featured in movies such as “Harry Potter” and “The Princess Bride”.
Upon arrival at the Cliffs of the Moher, you can see the Atlantic Ocean from various viewpoints. You can spend around two hours exploring the area. The interactive experience centre at the site features a large screen that shows videos of the underwater caves and birds-eye views from the cliffs.
Next, we will pass through Doolin, and Lisdoonvarna, known for its annual matchmaking festival. We will then visit the Dunguaire Castle and Kinvara, which are both located in the southeast section of Galway Bay. This castle was built in 1520 and is named after King Guaire, who was the ruler of Connacht at that time. It is one of the area’s most photographed structures.

Dunguaire Castle has been used as a location for a few movies. “Guns in the Heather” (1969), featuring Kurt Russel, in which the castle was passed off as the Boyne Castle. “Flight of the Doves” (1971), by Ralph Nelson, and also the Scottish castle home of the main character in the 1979 film “North Sea Hijack”The entrance fee for admission is not included.
